Programs
Adult Recovery Court
The Recovery Court Program provides drug treatment and intensive supervision to non-violent drug offenders and drug-related felony larceny offenders. The Recovery Courts serve Albemarle/Charlottesville, Fluvanna, Nelson and Orange/Madison Circuit Courts.
Therapeutic Docket
The Therapeutic Docket is a post-plea docket serving Albemarle and Charlottesville. It targets defendants who have been diagnosed with serious and persistent mental illness.
Local Probation
The Local Probation Program provides supervision for misdemeanor and class 5 and 6 felony offenders in accordance with the Comprehensive Community Corrections Act.
Pretrial Services
Using validated pretrial risk assessment tools, the Pretrial Services Program provides background information on a defendant to assist judges in making more informed release and bond decisions. Additionally, the program supervises defendants when released on bond prior to trial and or sentencing.
Reentry Services
The program focuses on reducing the barriers to successful reintegration into the community. The program provides in reach transitional services and cognitive behavioral classes at the local jails. Provides emergency services to newly released individuals. Additionally, the program builds long term case management relationships to assist in reaching long term goals and self sufficiency.
